High speed photography: Part 3

Here are the rest of the shots from this weekend. I love the way they turned out! Now to clean everything up…

High speed photography: Part 2

I’ve got some results from tonight, I think it turned out quite well. More tomorrow hopefully!

High speed photography: Proof of concept

Now that school is done for the semester I can turn my attention to more exciting things… like high speed photography! I am in the process of building a setup that will allow me to perform the basic procedure of: trip a sensor -> delay -> fire a strobe. This will allow me to capture movements that cannot be seen by the human eye! Here are a couple of proof of concept images of the initial test setup. Hopefully later this weekend I will have the system tweaked to my liking, allowing me to create much higher calibre images.

2008 Psychosis

It’s sad to see such an amazing event come to an end, I’m just glad I had the chance to experience it.

More Lethbridge

Tried something different and did some cross-processed velvia. I manadged to get a few that turned out O.K. but I think some of them may have been stronger if they were just processed normally. Oh well, thats the risk you take with doing cross processing.

First trip of the year

Dan and I headed down to lethbridge for a day for some biking and picture taking, I think it turned out ok. Still waiting to get the rest of the film back from the trip.

A shoot with Syd and Kristy

I did some wedding portraits for Syd and Kristy A little while back. Overall I am pretty pleased with the results, their place had an awesome brick wall and concrete floor that made a great backdrop.

I miss summer

Some shots from early summer this year (AKA Spring)
